Silicone Baby Spoons for First Dips & Self-Feeding

Australian-designed silicone baby spoons for first dips, pre-loaded feeding and learning to scoop. Choose theFirst™ three-spoon set with short handles, or our reinforced Self-Feeding Spoons in a practical two-pack.

Learning to use a spoon starts long before your baby can scoop. Our silicone baby spoons are designed for each step of that journey, from first dips into purée to confident scooping on their own.

Designed in Australia by Brightberry. Made from LFGB platinum silicone that’s gentle on gums and easy for little hands to hold.

Just starting solids: theFirst™ Baby’s First Spoon Set
Your baby doesn’t need to scoop yet. Two dipping spoons hold purée in their lattice heads, so your baby can bring food to their mouth from the very first meal. The third spoon introduces a shallow bowl when they’re ready to try scooping. Short handles fit tiny hands, and MealGuard™ keeps loaded spoon heads off the tray. Dishwasher and steriliser safe.

Learning to scoop: Self-Feeding Spoons (2-pack)
Our award-winning spoon for babies who want to do it themselves. A wide, arched handle gives an easy, natural grip, and a reinforced core keeps scooping steady. A textured handle adds sensory exploration. There are two in every pack: one for your baby and one for you to model with. Dishwasher safe.

Which Brightberry spoon set should I choose?

Choose theFirst™ Baby’s First Spoon Set if you want short-handled dipping spoons for early food exploration, plus a small spoon for introducing scooping.

Choose the Silicone Self Feeding Spoons (2-pack) if you want longer, reinforced handles for scooping and parent-assisted feeding.

Both sets can be pre-loaded, and you can use them alongside each other. Your baby does not need to master one set before trying the other.

Your Questions Answered:

What is a dipping spoon?
A dipping spoon, also called a pre-spoon, has an open lattice head instead of a bowl. Purée stays in the openings, so your baby can get food to their mouth without needing to balance it or scoop.

What age are Brightberry spoons for?
Both sets are suitable from around six months, when your baby is ready for solids. Most babies start with dipping spoons and move to scooping spoons as their grip and coordination develop.

Can the spoons go in the steriliser?
theFirst™ spoons are dishwasher and steriliser safe. The Self-Feeding Spoons have a reinforced nylon core, so they’re dishwasher safe and boil safe but not suitable for the microwave or steriliser.
