Products

Brightberry products are made of food-grade, FDA approved silicone.

All products are free from BPA, BPS, PVC, Lead, phthalates or any other harmful chemicals. We independently test all the products with TUV laboratories to confirm child safe use according to Australian and international standards.

Food-grade silicone is non-toxic and safer than plastic tableware. It withstands heating and freezing without leaching hazardous chemicals (like plastic). It means silicone can be safely used in a dishwasher, microvawe, oven and freezer.

Our products are made in China in carefully selected factories that meet our strict manufacturing and quality check requirements. These factories are professional baby products factories with over ten years of experience. All Brightberry products are tested with reputable TUV laboratories to meet Australian and international food contact & child safety standards.
We tried hard to find an option to manufacture our products here in Australia; unfortunately, the double product prices are not acceptable by our valued customers.

All our products come in recyclable food-grade packaging. To sell the products in retail stores, products must be protected from dust, touching and other environmental factors.
If you prefer products without packaging boxes, we encourage you to request "no packaging" in order notes when buying products from us online. We always have products without packaging available and are happy to wrap them in tissue paper or reusable cotton bags for you.

Yes, all our packaging is 100% recyclable. We use a combination of materials; cardboard, PET & cotton bags.

We make our cardboard boxes without plastic lamination to keep them recyclable. (Unfortunately, most cardboard packaging ends up in landfills because of the thin layer of plastic lamination to protect the print, making them non-recyclable. You can test this yourself. Try tearing any of the printed packaging boxes you get, and if there is a plastic lamination, it will start peeling at the tear.)

We use PET plastic for some packaging boxes and windows on cardboard packaging. PET plastic is completely recyclable and is the most recycled plastic worldwide (it can be easily identified by number 1 in the triangular "chasing arrows" code).
Our cotton bags material is tested to be chemical-free and safe for babies.

Suction Bowls & Plates

Suction bowls and plates can be attached with suction to most flat surfaces. However, some high chairs and wooden surfaces that are textured, unsealed, or damaged will make it difficult to achieve lasting suction.

For good suction, make sure both the suction base and the surface are clean, dry and without the soap film. Then, to attach it, press down in the middle of the bowl/plate with your thumb or spoon to push the air out of the suction base. That's it!

Use the release tab to detach.

Smoothie Cups

Our smoothie cups come with the regular silicone straws without stopper to prevent pulling it out from the cup's lid.

From our customer's feedback, some small children like to play with the straw in the first days of use and pull it out of the cup. It is normal, as children are naturally curious, but they quickly lose interest in doing this soon, as they find another new thing to explore.

We do offer stopper straws additionally, if this is what you need.

Our smoothie cups are made of (soft) silicone and, therefore, can not be closed as tight as plastic or metal bottles/tumblers. The lid helps to prevent spills; however, it is not spill-proof.

No, the lid is push-on, pull-off. The ridges on the lid help it stay in place, but because the cup is made of (soft) silicone can not be closed as tight as plastic or metal bottles/tumblers. The lid helps to prevent spills; however, it is not spill-proof.

Silicone Bibs

A stay-open front pocket makes it the best possible opportunity to catch most of the dropped food. However, it is quite unlikely that our little munchkins will only drop the food right into the pocket. Therefore, my preferred way to prevent food leftovers on clothing is to use a burp cloth on the lap.

Even if all the food cannot be caught, our bibs are easy to clean and don't have any seams where food could get stuck and get mouldy (as it does with fabric bibs).

Product Care

Wash the products thoroughly before first use and after each use. Use warm water, a soft sponge and mild detergent, or wash it in a dishwasher (yes, even the bib).

For that perfect "new" look every time, we recommend hand-washing & towel drying all silicone tableware. However, as busy parents, we all love using a dishwasher. It is entirely safe, but it sometimes leaves mineral and oil marks on the silicone. This is not harmful, and to remove any leftover residue, you can put the products in boiling water for a few minutes, and they will look like new.

Yes, silicone is safe to sterilise with boiling water.

WARNING:Do not sterilise the SPOONS in a microwave or electrical steriliser! Brightberry spoons are made with a reinforced nylon core to make them sturdy, and this insert can’t handle the same high temperatures as silicone. You can safely sterilise the spoons with boiling water on the stove (or wash them on high temperature setting in a dishwasher). Please make sure the spoon is not “sitting” on the dish’s bottom when boiling the product, as it could cause the insert to melt and make the spoon unusable.

Contact us if you need any further advice.

Silicone is stain-resistant; however, some foods, particularly pumpkin or carrot puree, can still leave a visible stain. To prevent that, do not let the food stay on the products for a prolonged time. The best is to wash the products immediately.
Generally (by my experience), these food stains will not be there permanently; most of the times, all it takes to get them out, is a few washes in a dishwasher.

Silicone is odourless, but it can take odours from food, detergents or other materials if in close proximity for a prolonged time. For example, some dishwashing detergents can make silicone to hold on to the smell. It is not harmful at all!

The easiest solution is to clean the product by boiling it for a few minutes. Silicone absorbs the scents at high temperatures; hence that is the easiest way to get rid of them.

The second option is to "bake off "the odours by baking the silicone products at 150 C (fan-forced oven) for 15 minutes. Contact us if you need any further advice.

You see the minerals from water, similar to what you can notice on the glasses washed in a dishwasher. It is more noticeable on darker colour products. It is not harmful. A simple solution is to wipe dry the products instead of letting them dry naturally.
To remove any leftover residue, simply put the products in boiling water for a few minutes.

For that perfect "new" look every time, we recommend hand-washing & towel drying all silicone tableware.
