Most plates let food get pushed over the edge the moment a baby tries to scoop. theBase™ fixes that. High inward-curved walls guide food back onto the spoon instead of letting it escape over the edge, so babies can actually focus on eating.

For solid suction, ensure the base of the silicone suction plate and the surface are clean, dry, and without any soap residue (ensure the plate is rinsed off well).

To attach the silicone toddler plate, press down in the middle of the plate to push the air out of the suction base until the silicone plate is firmly secured.

If the surface of your high chair has scratches or texture, the suction may not last, as the air can escape through the imperfections and release the suction.

Wash the suction plate thoroughly before first use and after each use.

We recommend using a fragrance-free dishwashing detergent. This part matters: scented detergents can leave a soap smell in the silicone. Rinse well so the suction base grips properly.

Suction plate not sticking

This plate doesn’t stick in both our benchtop and high chair. I followed the instructions and everything but it just won’t work even my 14 month old can easily move it with few fingers - mind you our cheaper suction plates work. Quite disappointing.

Suction requires a clean, dry surface to form a proper vacuum seal: food residue underneath the plate can prevent it from holding. This is how all suction mechanisms work. Great plate

My 7 month old loves this plate. Makes it easy to practice scooping but better than a bowl because she can see everything which increases her interest. Find it almost impossible to get it to suction properly to our suction sticker as I’ve found that the case with all suction utensils.

If you’re finding the suction a bit tricky, try pressing firmly in the centre of the plate rather than the edges — that’s what pushes the air out and activates the vacuum seal. It makes all the difference.

It is perfect for my food loving 10 month old!

I purchased this plate as I already have another brands suction plate. I love that one but wanted something a bit smaller and a bit more versatile. I often carry one in our nappy bag for meals out on the go and prefer her to join in meals. This plate is perfect. I use it all the time at restaurants and cafes. I also use it at home on the bumbo seat. The suction is great overall, super easy to clean and well I love the lipped edge. I will purchase more as I need it but happy with the product.

A nice thought, but my one-year-old son takes the plate off the mat easily...

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with the suction. For optimal suction, please ensure that both the surface and the suction base are clean, dry, and free of any residue. The surface should also be smooth without any texture or scratches. When placing the plate, press down in the middle to push out any trapped air from the suction to activate a strong suction grip.

I actually purchased this for my husband after he had a stroke. Your product is excellent just too small for our needs. He can still use the plates just not for dinner, but as a snack plate. It is really hard to find plates for people who have difficulties eating with one arm. Would love it if you could add larger plates to your product lists.

The scooping design is great for self feeders learning to master their cutlery, the only issue we have is that the suction isn't as strong, such a shame because otherwise it is the perfect design!

I bought this plate as an upgrade from the divided plate for my grandson.
