However, we cannot guarantee that our sticker will work as efficiently with other brands of suction tableware. This is because not all suction tableware is created equal. Some brands use stronger suction cups than others, and some brands use different materials that may not adhere as well to the sticker.
How to Apply the Brightberry Tray Sticker:
Thoroughly Clean the Surface:
The most crucial step for a successful sticker application is starting with an impeccably clean tray. Ensure your tray is clean and free of soap, oil, or food residue, as these can interfere with the sticker's adhesion.
Washing the Tray:
Use warm soapy water or a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water to clean the tray. It's essential to rinse it well after cleaning, ensuring no soap or residue remains on the surface.
Avoid Window-Cleaning Products:
These products might leave a residue behind that could prevent your sticker from adhering properly.
Once the tray is clean and dry, you're ready to apply the sticker. For best results, consider these two recommended methods.
Methods for Applying the Sticker
Method 1: Using Masking Tape
After cleaning the tray/surface area:
- Position the sticker where you want it to go, keeping the backing paper on. Ensure it's properly aligned.
- Use masking tape to secure one side of the sticker. This prevents it from moving.
- Lift the untaped side of the sticker, peel off the backing paper up to the middle (and cut off this part of the backing paper), and slowly lower the sticker onto the surface, ensuring it stays in the correct position while using a plastic card wrapped in a soft cloth to smooth it out from the centre towards the edges, ensuring no air bubbles are formed.
Method 2: Use water (NOT recommended for the white sticker)
After cleaning the tray/surface area:
- Wet the area with water.
- Place the sticker over the water. This allows you some time to reposition it if needed.
- After positioning the sticker, use a cloth to press out any excess water from the centre of the sticker to prevent bubbles from forming. Be patient with this step and ensure you push out as much water as possible. Press firmly on the edges.
- Smooth out any remaining air or water bubbles with a plastic card wrapped in a soft cloth, working from the centre towards the edges.
- (Optional) If you wish to further secure the sticker, you can warm it with a hairdryer for a few minutes and repeat the previous step.
Using the water method allows any air bubbles to be removed, and the water will soon dry, leaving your sticker firmly in place. We highly recommend watching a video tutorial to understand this method better.
