Easy to Hold

Silicone Smoothie Cups for Kids

Small hands, big thirsts. At 240ml it's just the right size: not too heavy when full, easy to hold from the very first sip.

The non-slip matte finish means it actually stays in their grip, not on your floor.

Spill Resistant

Secure Lid. Stopper Straw.

The silicone lid stays put if the cup is knocked over or dropped.

The stopper means the straw stays exactly where it should: no pulling out, no pushing in, even by the cheekiest little hands.

A cheerful young child with a bright smile is holding a light blue Brightberry smoothie cup. The cup is featured with a 'Secure Lid' and a 'Stopper Straw' as labeled in the image, emphasizing its child-friendly and mess-preventing design. The child's gray T-shirt features a graphic of a Disney's Elsa, adding a playful touch to the photo.
Straw Design

Free-Flowing Silicone Straw — No Valve, No Struggle

The wavy tip on the straw prevents it from sealing against the bottom of the cup, so every last drop flows freely without the straw getting stuck.

And because there's no valve, thick smoothies and milkshakes pass easily with no resistance. Speech pathologists recommend free-flowing straws for toddlers transitioning from bottles to cups, because they support healthy lip and tongue development.

no major spills

Lid That Won’t Pop Off

The lid locks on firmly and stays sealed if the cup tips over.
Designed to minimise mess during real toddler life, not just in a demo.

What Parents are Saying

Brightberry, you have saved me from Mum Rage. My boy loves smoothies; drinking them, throwing them, flicking his straw to create masterpieces on the walls. And as I don’t love constant cleaning, this was money very well spent!! Sanity saved and smoothie actually gets drunk. Thanks for your thoughtful toddler proof designs!

They have tackled every issue with kids straw cups. The lid is tight and won’t come off easily. The straw is a piece of engineering perfection for a curious toddler to avoid spills. Best cup for a toddler I’ve found.

This smoothie cup has been a lifesaver! My son throws everything from his highchair and so far this cup has proved itself. The lid stays on so securely and he can’t pull the straw out which is amazing. The cup also has a nice weight to it which helps it stay upright. Will definitely be purchasing more!

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Brightberry Kids Smoothie Cup.

Is this cup spill-proof?
The lid stays sealed if the cup is knocked over or dropped. It is not fully spill-proof with thin liquids if turned completely upside down — that is an intentional design choice. The free-flowing straw supports healthy oral development and allows thicker smoothies to pass easily. It is ideal for smoothies, milk, and oat milk.
Why a free-flowing straw instead of a valve?
Valves require suction effort that can frustrate young children and slow the transition from bottle to cup. A free-flowing straw supports natural drinking habits and is recommended by speech pathologists for toddlers transitioning to cups, as it promotes healthy lip, tongue, and cheek muscle development.
Does the straw stay in place?
Yes. The Finā„¢ stopper prevents the straw from being pulled out, even by determined toddlers. This was a specifically designed fix for one of the most common frustrations with kids' straw cups.
If I squeeze the cup to teach my child to drink through the straw, will liquid come up?
Yes — squeezing the cup is actually a great way to introduce straw drinking to little ones. Give it a gentle squeeze to push liquid up the straw and help them get the idea. The cup is wide enough that small children can't squeeze it themselves, so once they've learned the technique it won't be an issue during everyday use.
My child loves pushing straws all the way into cups — does the Finā„¢ stopper prevent that?
Yes. The Finā„¢ stopper sits at the base of the straw and prevents it being pushed down into the cup or pulled out through the top. It is one of the most mentioned features in our reviews.
What age is this cup suitable for?
From around 6 months when introducing cup drinking, through toddler years and beyond. The non-slip matte finish and lightweight design make it easy for little hands at any stage.
Can my child drink milk or water from this cup?
Yes. It works well for smoothies, milk, oat milk, and water. For thin liquids like water, avoid fully tipping the cup upside down, as the free-flowing straw design means some liquid can escape. It performs best with thicker drinks.
Is the cup dishwasher safe?
Yes. The cup, lid, and straw are all fully dishwasher safe with no colour loss or degradation. Use the included straw brush for a thorough clean if washing by hand. Store with the lid off to allow airflow between uses.
Is the cup microwave safe?
Yes. Unlike stainless steel cups, the Brightberry smoothie cup is fully microwave safe. You can warm milk or oat milk directly in the cup without transferring to another container first.
How do I clean the straw?
Use the included straw brush with warm soapy water after each use to prevent smoothie residue from building up inside the straw. All parts are also dishwasher safe for easy everyday cleaning.
Does this cup fit the Brightberry Divided Plate?
Yes. The smoothie cup is designed to sit perfectly in the small round section of the Brightberry Divided Plate for a complete mealtime setup.
Is the silicone safe?
Yes. Made from LFGB Platinum Silicone — the highest international food safety certification, stricter than FDA. Free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, and microplastics. Safe for hot and cold drinks.
Silicone or stainless steel — which is better for kids?
Both are safe materials. The practical difference is in everyday use. Stainless steel cups cannot go in the microwave and the powder coating can fade in the dishwasher, meaning hand-wash only. Silicone is fully dishwasher and microwave safe, softer against teeth and gums, lighter, and does not sweat condensation onto little hands.

The Brightberry Difference

Hide the Greens. They'll Ask for More.

Blend the good stuff in and watch it disappear. Smoothies are one of the easiest ways to get fruit and veg into little ones, and the free-flowing straw makes sure even the thickest blends go down easily. Perfect for babies and toddlers from 6 months.

LFGB Platinum Silicone — The Safest Available

LFGB platinum silicone is stricter than the FDA. No BPA, no PVC, no phthalates, no microplastics. No plastic parts anywhere on the cup. Microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. Because what touches their food matters.

Choose Their Colour

Let them pick their own silicone smoothie cup colour, and suddenly drinking becomes something they actually want to do. That little bit of ownership goes a long way. Mix and match across the family.

Great size for little hands, easy to clean. A great cup for my toddler who loves to remove lids and straws. When dropped on the floor lid stays on securely and spillage is minimal. Order arrived quickly.

Love these. I purchased three different colours and extra straws and I think they're brilliant. They're durable, perfect size, attractive, very functional. She's now asking for smoothies everyday because we finally have a cup with a straw that works.

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! We're absolutely delighted to hear that you and your little one enjoy smoothies so much. Our aim is always to combine functionality with style, and it's heartwarming to hear that we've hit the mark for you.

Great product overall, to help baby learn to drink using a straw.

What I like:
- I can "help" baby drink from the straw by squeezing the cup
- the lid is super tight, so baby can't spill the water everywhere
- really appreciate that it comes with straw brush! Very thoughtful.

What I dislike:
- there's some flower pattern at the outer base of the cup. This is a food trap haha. Perhaps it's just my messy son, but everytime I wash the cup, there's always some food bits stuck there (especially yogurt/pureed foods) and I would have to wash it the second time.
- I think a clear cup would be nice, so I can see whether the water is flowing or not. With the coloured cup, I can't easily tell whether baby is sucking the straw or not.

Background: my baby is almost 9 months old, and I feel like he still doesn't quite get straw drinking. But I believe this cup will help him learn. I will continue using it during mealtimes.

Thanks again Brightberry for such great product!

This cup is a masterpiece! Our 9-month-old uses this to drink water. It is weighted and a good size and grip for little hands to practice holding a cup. The straw stopper is very effective in preventing the straw from coming off (Bub really liked to pull the straw off of his previous cup). The seal to close the lid is so robust that I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to open it. We haven't noticed any spills through the side of the lid and although there is no leak when the cup is held upside down, minor leakage is evident through the straw hole when the cup is left to lay on its side. I also like that we are not limited to toy-like colours and are given colour options to match our own tableware.

We have the smaller version of this cup that did not have the straw stopper, and this large cup must be an improvement of the smaller one. With this, we can tell that Brightberry strives to improve their products in response to feedback from consumers. Thank you Mateya and Team!

The smoothie cup is actually brilliant! Here is why:
1) My 9 month old loves drinking from it, so it’s an easy way to give him that extra nutrients.
2) It’s indestructible! It stays in tact, even when being dropped on the floor multiple times… even throw across the room.
3) Creates minimal mess. When your busy or on the go and don’t have the time to clean a 5m radius around the high chair (or wherever they are eating), change an outfit, and basically bathe the messy eater.. this smoothie cup is a go to!
4) Easy to clean! Even comes with a straw cleaner.
5) Great quality/ made well/ will last a long time.
6) Good for travelling / out and about. When I don’t have access to my blender, I put the pouches of purĆ©e in the smoothie cup. Makes far less mess (My little one likes to squeeze the pouches, coating the pram, himself, etc, in gunk).
100% recommend this product!

This cup is just right. The size is perfect for my 11 month old to comfortably pick up and hold onto it, and I love it doesn’t have handles that’s enabled other cups to be tossed across the room. The lid is very secure, it takes a certain technique to get it off that no toddler is going to achieve. I’ve used it for water, soup and smoothies and all have been consumed without a big mess to clean up after! I’ll be ordering another to keep at the grandparents.

Good

Great Quality and easy to clean, however I bought the cup because of its 240ml capacity and it does not hold that much with the lid on. I would have preferred it to be a bit bigger so I can comfortably fit 240mls of liquid and still have the lid on.

Fantastic adaptive cup

This smoothie cup in fantastic and I'm wondering where has it been all my life! I have a 9yo son with a physical disability who has fine motor and dexterity limitations. I can't even estimate how many cups we've cracked, chipped, dented or outright smashed over the years. But this smoothie cup is perfect for him. It easy to grip, genuinely leak proof and indestructible, not a drop has been spilled, nor a crack or chip to be seen after it's many trips to the floor. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is around the size. 240ml is perfectly adequate for littlies but I'd love to see it come in a bigger size for older kids or adults with disabilities. Overall though I'm 100% satisfied with this product and really wish I'd found it sooner

The silicone dipper cups are ideal for our grandkids. We decided to switch to silicone as we were concerned about the amount of micro-plastics being injested as recent health reports have stated. Our young kids have been shown to have small amounts of micro/plastics in their bodies. The non removal straw is a great idea and we have no qualms with the toddlers walking around with their cups full of smoothies or milk. Thank you so much; would ask for maybe a bigger cup for the kids over 5yo. These cups go hand in hand with their water bottles and they love to clean them with the straw cleaners provided. Great product šŸ‘

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, Cheryl. I’m so glad the cups are working so well for your grandkids and that the non removable straw gives you peace of mind.

Thank you also for the suggestion about a bigger cup for older kids, that’s really helpful and something we’re considering.

So happy to hear they love using them every day. Thank you again for your support.

Messy open and close

The lid of the smoothie cup is super secure, so yes it's great if you have a child that will throw the cup around. However it's a nightmare to close and open. Liquid will spill out the top of the straw from the pressure, both when closing and trying to open it. If there's any liquid left when you need to open it, there's no way to avoid liquid squirting out the top as you fight with the lid to pry it off. It's honestly more trouble than it's worth, I'm dreading using the cups every day.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for the honest feedback.

You’re absolutely right that the lid is very secure. That’s intentional, so it stays closed if dropped or thrown, but I understand it can feel firm to open and close.

There is a simple way to release the lid without pressure or spilling. Just below the lid you’ll see two small heart shapes on the cup. Squeeze the cup at those points, and this creates a small air gap, allowing the lid to lift off easily without liquid pushing up through the straw.

We show this in a short video on the product page, and there’s also an image on the packaging to guide you.

I hope this helps make things much easier and that you can enjoy using the cup every day.

Great quality cup

This is a great quality product prefect for little hands. The lid stays on well and the tab on the straw stops litte hands from pulling it out. The cup is strong so it cannot be squeezed making a mess like other cups I have tried.
